Q: What is happening?

A: indiCo LLC has reached an agreement to transition its wholesale book distribution business to long-time partner, Ingram Content Group (Ingram) as part of its wind-down strategy for that line of business.

Q: Why Ingram?

A: For over fifteen years, Ingram has played an integral role in indiCo’s ability to deliver exceptional service and order fulfillment for college stores. We are working with indiCo in their transition as we know indiCo’s customers’ needs and have a shared commitment to supporting college stores.

Q: How does this affect me?

A: indiCo’s customers will continue having access to an expansive list of titles, consolidated ordering options, and a dedicated customer care team. There is a shared goal to assist stores in transitioning their book purchasing activity with the least amount of disruption possible, especially for the upcoming buying season.

Q: When does the transition take place?

A: The transition is already underway. If you have an active account, you can start placing orders immediately. Other key dates:

Orders will be accepted by indiCo through 10/31/19
Accounts will transition to Ingram on or before 11/1/19
Returns can be made to indiCo through 12/31/19

Q: How do I open an Ingram account?

A: Ingram is proactively opening accounts based on indiCo’s customer list, but it is recommended to follow this link https://getstarted.ingramcontent.com/ to start the credit application process.

Q: What will my terms and conditions be with Ingram?

A: For new and existing Ingram customers: 35% discount on all regular discount items. This discount applies only to regular discount titles, regardless of quantities purchased or order method. Spoken audio, music, DVD, video, and short or long discounted merchandise will receive an earned discount as communicated through ICG’s product information vehicles. 20% penalty free returns.

Q: How do I start placing orders?

A: Search, order, discover and track on Ingram’s ipage®, one of the world’s leading order and account management tool for retailers. You will receive a welcome email that will include your user ID, details on ipage training and other important account information. To watch a brief overview video, follow this link to the ipage and select “Take a Tour”. Ingram also provides a webinar knowledgebase, Tuesdays with ipage, where you can take your pick of on-demand webinars covering everything ipage, from time saving ordering tips to platform enhancements to managing new title notifications.

Q: What is Ingram’s freight policy?

A: Shipments of 15 or more units from your primary distribution center or from your secondary distribution center qualify for free freight. Shipments of less than 15 units will be charged a flat $5.00 shipping fee. All shipments will incur a $1.75 fuel surcharge fee. You are responsible for freight on orders that ship from DCs other than your assigned primary and secondary DC pair and/or where you override the Ingram-assigned shipping instructions.
