What is the Indie Vault? Reserved inventory just for you! Ingram’s Indie Vault contains a designated supply of selected in-demand titles made exclusively available to Indie bookstores.

1. How are titles chosen?  

Titles are selected based on sales volume, publicity, publisher availability, and awards recognition.

2. How can I participate?

If you are an independent bookstore, whether domestic or abroad, you can participate. Contact your rep to get started.

3. How do I know what is in the Vault?

4. How do I order Vault titles?

Your order can only be processed through ipage or ordering systems that use Flashback. If you order via EDI, you can place orders through ipage or your rep. Ingram receives EDI orders from iMerchant, Visual Ratex, Netsuite, Sequoia and MBS.

5. Can I include Vault titles on my regular orders?

Yes, however, if you order via EDI, then you will need to key the Vault order in ipage or call your rep. If you set this order to combine, it will combine with your EDI order shipment.

6. Will Vault stock combine and ship with the rest of my order?

Yes.

7. Will I receive confirmation of a Vault order?

Yes, when you place the order if there is stock to fill it, it will be confirmed like any other order.

8. I thought a title was in the Vault but it didn't confirm when I ordered it. What happened?

That means there are no longer quantities of that title available in the Vault.

9. Do I have to backorder to confirm stock from the Vault?

No. If you order and stock is in the Vault, you will receive a confirmation. If stock is not available in the Vault and your account is set up to backorder, the order will process as a backorder. If your account is not set up for backorders, the order will not be processed.

10. Can I order Vault titles from both my primary and secondary warehouses?

Yes. If you utilize DC Pairs, your Vault order will try your Primary DC first, then cascade to your Secondary DC.

11. Can I make suggestions for titles that should be in the Vault?

Yes please! Contact your rep.
