Content Management Spotlight

Tyler Montgomery

With each issue of Publishing Forward, we will spotlight people within the Content Management team that make the business you do with Ingram, as a publisher, possible and profitable. As such, meet one of our content managers, Tyler Montgomery.

Tyler joined Ingram via the higher education (textbook) business in early 2016. He quickly learned the ropes and was recruited into the Ingram Library Services (ILS) division to help libraries in the West. After a year with libraries, we recognized Tyler’s talents with his combination of content expertise and business knowledge, and he started in his current position as content manager in the later part of 2017.

Many of the publishers reading this already know Tyler Montgomery. But, did you know Tyler life-changing experiences through Covid 2020-2022? Through this crazy time, he met his future wife (2020), married (2021), and had their first child (2022)! Atop of all of this, Tyler has been involved in coaching for a local high school swim team and involved with Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America. We always appreciate Tyler’s heart for his family, his friends, his community, and his publishers.

The portfolio of publishers Tyler manages is a diverse set ranging from National Geographic maps to an audiobook publisher moving into print, and much more. To give you a sense of the diversity of Tyler’s work, when asked to comment on this article, he was in the middle of developing a list of multicultural books and videos for our Ingram Library Services group.

As a content manager, I like that our department is in the middle of everything at Ingram. Every part of our company depends on a connection to Content Management. Of course, whether it is Retail Sales, or Libraries, or Operations, or Lightning Source, we depend on them too. But our work fuels the engine of Ingram and the market.”
